Mother Engine: Big. Smart. Pop.

When keyboarder and producer Moe stepped onto a bus on a sunny summer evening, late for a rehearsal, he wasn't at all prepared to run into this girl. Obviously, she wasn't either, and so they stared at each other for the entire way. He almost missed his stop and just managed to get off the bus though without having spoken a single word to her.

After two weeks of spending his precious time on public transportation, he finally met her again, only to find out the mysterious girl named Sasa was one of his mate's best friends. Another thing he discovered was that she actually is an extraordinary singer.

Working together felt natural right from the start. Sasa's captivating voice, both compassionate and persuasive, is an ideal addition to Moe's colourful compositions.

With a combination of classic pop songs, endowed with strong melodies and put into a soundscape made of a variety of genres such as alternative, electronica, indie, trip-hop, jazz and dance, Mother Engine create a complex yet airy sound. There is no doubt – Mother Engine are heading for the big screen!

Mixing in Synthesizerstudio
Hamburg completed.

Good things come to those who wait – and seek. While it took us quite some time to find the perfect mixing engineer for the production of our new album, it was totally worth it: We're more than happy with Sunny Q's beautiful mixes.

If you're into analog music production, his impressive Synthesizerstudio Hamburg (where even the British band HURTS did some recordings just lately) is a must-see! Amongst all the analog equipment you feel like Catain Kirk on LSD. Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Air, all of the original sounds are just a fingertip away.
